CATERING POLICIES & TERMS

CHINA / GLASSWARE

Disposable tableware and glassware are included. Standard China, glassware, and upgraded place settings are available for an additional charge.

 

LINENS

We provide table coverings for food and beverage service tables at no additional charge. Guest table linens, linen napkins, chair covers, and specialty linens are available for an additional fee.

 

MENU GUIDELINES

  • Final menu selections are due fourteen (14) days prior to the event.

  • A guaranteed guest count must be provided fourteen (14) days before the event.

  • Charges are based on the guaranteed guest count, regardless of actual attendance.

  • Additional guests served beyond the guaranteed count will incur additional charges.

 

FOOD POLICIES

  • Prices are per person unless otherwise noted.

  • Appetizers are priced per dozen unless otherwise specified.

  • Pricing is subject to change until a signed contract and 50% deposit are received.

  • All food and beverages must be prepared and served exclusively by EJ3's Taste Of Elegance unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

  • Buffet service remains available for up to thirty (30) minutes after the last guest has been served.

  • For food safety reasons, any remaining food may be discarded or removed at the caterer's discretion in accordance with local health regulations.

 

OUTDOOR EVENT SETUP & EQUIPMENT FEES

Outdoor events requiring additional equipment, infrastructure, or service accommodations may incur additional fees.

These fees may include, but are not limited to:

  • Tent setup and breakdown

  • Service and buffet tables

  • Additional food stations

  • Generators and electrical equipment

  • Lighting

  • Portable handwashing stations

  • Additional labor for setup and breakdown

Outdoor Setup Fees typically range from $150 to $500+ depending on equipment requirements, event size, and venue conditions. All setup fees will be clearly outlined in the event proposal and invoice prior to booking.

 

SERVICE CHARGE

An 18% Service Charge will be added to all events. This charge covers administrative costs, standard event setup, breakdown, and service support. The service charge is not a gratuity.

 

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

The Client is responsible for any damage, loss, theft, or excessive cleaning resulting from the actions of guests, vendors, or contractors hired by the Client.

 

DEPOSIT & FINAL PAYMENT

  • A non-refundable deposit equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total estimated event cost is required to secure the event date.

  • The remaining balance is due seven (7) days prior to the event date.

  • Final guest count must be submitted at the time final payment is made.

  • Events not paid in full by the due date may be subject to cancellation.

  • Cancellations made thirty (30) or more days prior to the event date may be eligible for a partial refund at the sole discretion of EJ3's Taste Of Elegance, less any non-recoverable expenses.

 

TRAVEL FEES

Events located outside our standard service area may be subject to a travel fee. Travel fees are determined by distance, travel time, tolls, parking, and transportation costs and will be disclosed prior to booking.

 

RUSH BOOKINGS

Events booked within fourteen (14) days of the event date may be subject to a Rush Booking Fee to accommodate expedited planning, staffing, purchasing, and preparation.

 

WEATHER POLICY

For outdoor events, the Client is responsible for providing adequate weather protection for guests and catering staff. EJ3's Taste Of Elegance reserves the right to suspend or modify service during unsafe weather conditions including severe thunderstorms, lightning, high winds, flooding, or other hazardous conditions.

 

FORCE MAJEURE

Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, severe weather events, government actions, labor disputes, pandemics, or other emergencies.

 

RENTALS & THIRD-PARTY EQUIPMENT

Any rental equipment secured through EJ3's Taste Of Elegance on behalf of the Client shall remain the responsibility of the Client until retrieved by the rental company or caterer. The Client agrees to reimburse any costs associated with damaged, missing, or stolen rental items.
